Shipping Policy

At Magnolia Gift Boxes, we take pride in providing a beautiful and seamless gifting experience. To ensure clarity and transparency, please review our updated shipping policy below.

Order Processing

  • Orders are typically processed within 1–3 business days.
  • During high-volume periods (November–December, corporate gifting season, and special promotions), processing times may be 3–7 business days.
  • Custom, branded, or bulk orders may require additional lead time and will be communicated at the time of ordering.

Shipping Methods

We offer the following shipping options:

  • Local Courier Delivery (Vancouver / Lower Mainland)
  • Canada-Wide Shipping
  • U.S. Shipping (see U.S. duties section below)
  • Expedited or Express Shipping, where available

We do not ship to PO Boxes.

Shipping Destinations

  • We ship across Canada and the United States.
  • Certain remote or rural regions may incur additional shipping fees or longer transit times.

Shipping Costs

Shipping rates are calculated at checkout based on:

  • Weight and dimensions
  • Destination
  • Shipping method selected

U.S. shipping includes prepaid duties & taxes so recipients are not charged upon delivery.

U.S. Orders — Duties, Taxes & Customs

Effective Aug 29, 2025, the U.S. has removed the $800 USD de minimis exemption for courier shipments.

As a result:

  • All U.S. shipments are now subject to customs clearance and applicable duties/taxes, regardless of value.
  • To ensure a smooth experience, Magnolia Gift Boxes pre-pays U.S. duties and taxes so your recipients are never billed on delivery.
  • Our U.S. shipping fee reflects these additional government-mandated charges.

Delivery Times

Delivery estimates are provided by the carrier and may vary by region.

Once an order is handed to the courier, Magnolia Gift Boxes is not responsible for delays caused by:

  • Weather
  • Customs processing
  • Courier staffing shortages
  • Peak-season congestion
  • Incorrect or incomplete addresses

However, we’re always here to help. Should a significant delay occur, please contact us and we will assist however possible.

Shipping Notifications

You will receive an email with tracking information as soon as your order is shipped.

Undeliverable or Returned Shipments

If a package is returned due to:

  • Incorrect or incomplete address,
  • Refusal by the recipient,
  • Inability to deliver,

the reshipping fee will be the customer’s responsibility.

Refund & Return Policy

We want every Magnolia experience to exceed expectations. Because our products are curated gift boxes that include food items, personal-use goods, and artisanal pieces, our return policy is as follows:

Returns & Exchanges

To support mindful purchasing and reduce unnecessary shipping waste:

We do not accept returns or exchanges on any products. All gift boxes and food items are final sale.

Unauthorized or International Returns

To protect product integrity and comply with customs regulations:

  • Returns without prior written authorization will not be accepted.
  • We do not accept returns on international shipments (e.g., U.S. → Canada) due to customs restrictions, food safety requirements, and the nature of curated goods.
  • Any return shipping fees, customs charges, or duties incurred without our approval are the responsibility of the customer.

Unauthorized shipments may be refused at the border or returned to sender.

Damaged or Incorrect Items

If your order arrives defective, damaged, or incorrect:

  1. Contact us within 48 hours of delivery
  2. Provide clear photos of the issue
  3. We will replace the damaged item or issue a refund for that item

This does not apply to delays caused by carriers, weather, or customs.

Order Cancellations

  • Orders may be canceled within 24 hours of purchase, provided they have not shipped.
  • Once an order has shipped, it cannot be canceled or refunded.
  • Custom, corporate, or branded orders are non-refundable once production has begun.

Refund Process (When Applicable)

Approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method.

Processing times vary by bank or payment provider.
